Massimo Vignelli’s designs were distinguishably simplistic, functional, and timeless. He believed in systematic and logical designs, which withheld their relevance and utility by being as minimalistic and simple as possible. Throughout this brief I focused on creating a coherent and compelling design, one which would act as a visual representation of Vignelli’s design practice and principles. The final design combines both type and image in a way that represents the significant design practices of Massimo Vignelli. Being true to Vignelli, I chose to use Helvetica for all textual information. This typeface not only made sense because it was preferred by Vignelli, but more so due to its simplicity and readability, which aligned well with the overall focus of the design.
